What is a HIP MRI?

An MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scan generates images of the body by manipulating magnetic fields and radio waves. MRI scans can be performed for many body parts, including but not limited to the chest, the shoulder, and the thoracic spine. A hip MRI generates pictures around the hip joint area, allowing for a detailed look of the bones, muscles, tendons, nerves, and blood vessels.
